Congratulations to
Dr. Cathie Garnis (Otolaryngology) who was just awarded a CIHR China-Canada Joint Health Research Initiative Grant. The aim of this program is to promote the development of Canadian-Chinese scientific co-operation between universities, hospitals, research institutes or affiliated research organizations in Canada and China through the support of collaborative research grants. Dr. Garnis' project combines the genomics of oral cancer (Garnis Lab) with proteomics (Chen Lab at Sichuan University) to identify key factors driving the initiation and progression of oral cancer.
